Get Ready for Some Changes!

Changes, they are a comin’ here at Annie’s Eats.  The longer I blog and as my readership continues to grow, I realize it is time for a new look and some changes to make the site even more user-friendly.  Since I am the opposite of tech savvy and have neither the patience nor the time to do this myself, I have found a fabulous designer to help make this vision a reality.  I can’t say for certain what day the new site will go live, but it should be within the next couple of weeks and I can’t wait to share it with you all!  In the meantime, here is a sneak peek at my new logo and the new blog design.

Huge thanks to Ryan of 2nd Street Creative.  You have been truly wonderful to work with and I don’t know what I would have done without your help!

  34. At first when I read the title of this post, I thought you were going to stop blogging. I’m so glad it’s a design revamp instead! I don’t know what I’d do without Annie’s Eats.

  35. I’m one of your BIGGEST fans, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Annie’s Eats! I use one of your recipes at least once a week and you have yet to fail me :); my husband has made a couple of your cheesecake recipes! I’m constantly posting recipe links to your page on Facebook; LOL, my last comment was for your taco bowls, I wrote in the message area “I LOVE Annie’s Eats! I’d like to meet Annie in person; she seems like an amazing, down to earth women. She’s an OB/GYN with a young child of her own…it amazes me that she has time to cook, let alone update a blog M-F!”

Eager to see the New Annie’s Eats!

  36. Very cool! Can’t wait to see the new site in all it’s glory.

On another side note, I was just wondering if your ears were burning? I met a lovely couple, Larry and Janelda B. who mentioned that you are good friends with their daughter. Small World!

  37. I’ll be looking forward to it.

  38. I love what I’m seeeing just from this little snapshot – I can’t wait to see the finished product! Good for you doing a redesign. Though I love it as is, we all need a fresh start now and then. 62. It doesn’t matter the face of your blog. I love it!!!
I write you, and follow you from Spain. I invite you to know my blog. I were really pleasured if you visit me.
    Mglòria

  63. I can’t wait to see it live! It’s gorgeous- I love the logo, very sophisticated, yet fun!

  64. I can’t wait! Your blog has, in recent weeks, become one of my go-to’s. I love it.

  65. Looks great and oh so yummy!!! You caught my attention!

    YOU GO GIRL!!!!!

  66. Just wanted to leave you a little note to let you know…
The reason why I love your site so much… is not only for all the wonderful recipes I find, try, and love… but you also have one of the most user-friendly attractive sites..
So an even MORE user friendly one??
I cant wait to see it!

  67. Annie, you are truly amazing. I love the old logo and I love the new logo. Your recipes always turn out great too. How do you possibly do it all?
    My hats off to you!

  68. I love it! Can’t wait to try out the new recipes you post on the beautiful new site.

  69. Loves it! Can’t wait 😀

  70. Fun new design! Your site is a favorite of mine. Best wishes with the changes!

  71. Looks Great! Excited for you!

  72. I love your blog and think it’s wonderful that your site is getting a makeover! Is the new site going to have a recipe index? That would be awesome. I would probably then find even more great recipes from your site that I would love to make.

    • A full recipe index is a huge undertaking that I unfortunately do not have time for, but there will be an easier way to access the older recipes.

  73. Looking forward to seeing it!

  74. Annie – Looking forward to your new site. If this one is “improved” I can’t imagine what you have in store for us. The old one is great. I’m hooked.
    Lori

  75. Yeaaaaaa! Can’t wait to see your new space….Congrats Annie! 🙂

  76. It looks great! You should look into having an iphone app :]

  77. Think the new logo is great and love the the slogan, so appt!

  78. FREAKING IN LOOOOOOOVE WITH THIS!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

    • Haha, I saw this and was like, “Wow, that’s a lot of smiley faces!” Then I see – it’s Bobbi! Miss you SO much lady.

  79. The new design will be wonderful! May I suggest that you add a “print recipe” funtion your older recipes? I have looked at your entire site and used many of your earlier recipes. I would greatly appreciate the ability to print those recipes. For some reason, your website prohibits the cut & paste option. Thanks!

    • You can suggest it but some things are easier said than done. I create each printer-friendly version manually and there are hundreds of recipes. I update them as possible but I’m only one person.

    • And I cut and paste all the time without problems!

  80. See if you can’t keep the current color scheme with the new design. I love all the greens and blues and yellow makes my eyes sore.

And did you know dark blue actually makes you hungrier? It’s weird, but it could work. 😛

    /<3

  81. Yup, I can cut and paste too with no problem! I also find it easy to search your site using the categories drop-down and search box. I know how time-consuming blogging can be, so this is fine for all of us addicts! I, for one, would much rather that you spent your available time cooking and posting about the fabulous results! Good luck with the new design – quite retro? But looks great

  82. gawgeous 🙂

  83. Hopefully it will all go smoothly. I’ve been through two. First one brutal, the next one rather flawless. (I did the second one myself, surprisingly!). Both were worth it!

  84. Love the new look!

  85. New site looks great! I’m fresh out of college and your site has been an amazing resource for weeknight meals! It’s become an almost daily routine to search your blog for that night’s dinner recipe, which gets forwarded to my roommates for approval. My whole apartment are huge fans!

  86. How exciting! Can’t wait to see the new look.

  87. Does anyone know how I can stop receiving replies from my comments to my email address ? Thanks.

  88. i love it! looks great and suits you very well – or anyway what i have in my mind for you since i don’t really know you, sometimes i forget that :]

  89. Oh wow, it looks fabulous I can’t wait to see all the changes! 🙂
